... Sardar Gabbar Singh movie - my review
Story - this is age old story, nothing new but it still has got elements to make it a commercial hit if executed properly where this team (???) or 'power of ONE' failed to do so. Though the plot has got importance for many characters, the team of ONE ignored every single character or forgot to develop/etch proper characterisation for other roles. Not even the main character Sardar Gabbar Singh. Every character stood at a distance of few miles from what is called 'clarity'. Everyone including PK appeared with question mark faces in most of the scenes as they don't know what to do or what supposed to do.
Pavan Kalyan - yes, as said this is power of 'ONE' and he is the only one that you can either praise or blame for anything in this movie. He came, he tried to do what he know and did something else. There is no character that can stand opposite PK in this movie. None of the characters including the leading character played by himself were etched properly. He tried to do all - comedy, action, romance, dances, emotions blah blah blah but he was not at ease in any of the scenes. It appeared like his body was present there but mind somewhere else.
Kajal - 'I am here, but for what?' is the question written all over her face/expressions throughout the movie. No scope for performance, not even a meaningful role, not given chance for skin show too - then what can she do?
Sharad Kelkar - I really pity this guy. I did not watch any of his small screen performances. In this movie, he had to take help of side characters always to show that he is cruel and a real villain. No intensity in his performance, no expression err only single expression. He looks and acts the same way when he was shown powerful, when he was taking back foot, when he was happy.
Sanjana - really, people cannot even recognise that Sanjana is there in this film. People will at least remember that Lakshmi Rai is there in this film (item song). Very very unlucky girl, she might have thought it's PK film expecting some mileage. She acted as Sharad Kelkar's wife in this movie.
Brahmanandam - Why is he there? Is he trying to do some comedy or nonsense? You will feel irritated.
Music - first time I have seen Devi Sri Prasad failing miserably with both songs and particularly background score. Worst ever background score in his career. It is better not to mention about songs. Devi Sri better can ignore this film happened.
Bobby (K S Ravindra) - I better restrain myself commenting on those guys who did not even get chance to do something that they know. Pity, I will be looking forward to see this guy getting another chance to do what he is supposed to rather than just watching what's happening around.
Jabardast gang - not able to make any difference, they can but they were not given chance to do what they can. As said, this is 'Power of ONE'.
Mukhesh Rishi and Oorvashi - Why did they accept this roles? Pity ... that is all I can say. Seems like Kovai Sarala got some issues and people are trying to replace Urvashi in the same roles.
Producers - I am jealous about PK for having this kind of friends. If at least one of my friends are like this I would have directed few movies by now, surely better ones. And, there is nothing more to mention about them :)
Buyers and viewers - feel sorry for them.
